My wife Ciara and I are lifelong residents of Wilmington, Ohio. So when it came time to start planning our wedding, having the reception at The Roberts Centre was a no brainer. When I proposed to my wife at the same location, more than a year ago, the staff was gracious enough to allow me to do it in one of their boardrooms. It was perfect!
The process of planning a wedding can be stressful, but The Roberts Centre staff did everything possible to make sure my wife and I were not stressed throughout the entire process. Even when our original wedding coordinator left The Roberts Centre for a new job two months before our wedding, their new wedding coordinator stepped in and made us feel at ease. Their wedding coordinator was nothing short of phenomenal from the first time we talked about our vision.
Communication is key when planning an event like a wedding and with The Roberts Centre there was frequent communication via phone calls, emails or in person. The staff was always willing to talk to us even if we emailed them 20 questions in a day that we needed answered.
Then something happened that we could never have imagined.

A week before our wedding I started battling some major health issues and found myself in the hospital the week leading up to our big day. During that week, we truly had no idea if the wedding was going to happen or not. But The Roberts Centre staff patiently waited with us while we figured it out. On Thursday of that week, my wife and I decided it was a go, only we needed a major change to accommodate our new situation. Our original plan was to get married in a church, but to make the day easier on me we decided to have the ceremony and reception at the Roberts Centre. The staff did not miss a beat. In one day our ballroom was transformed into a beautiful and elegant space for a ceremony and reception. We were blown away at the finished ballroom and so were our guests, especially because of the short notice.

My wife and I cannot thank the entire wedding staff enough for the part they played in making our wedding day so special. We could not have done it without them and were truly blessed by the support and love they showed us, our family and our guests.
