Ohio Renaissance Festival At Roberts Centre
One Summer morning, the staff of Roberts Centre was surprised to see Queen Elizabeth in the lobby. Her highness had a motley crew of loyal subjects with her, and they requested room and board whilst on their travels to the Ohio Renaissance Festival. While preparing the royal quarters, they became intrigued by the modern, digital devices that the Roberts Centre staff uses to connect to the world. They took over all of the social media for the duration of their stay! What happened next was surprising to everyone…
The Digital Takeover
Once the crew figured out the touchscreen on the smartphone, there was no stopping them. The Queen got them checked into the Holiday Inn, and they were off. The pirates got a little bit lost, which was strange, as they are supposed to be really good at directions. Rumor has it, there was a slight misunderstanding about who got the big bed, but we hear they were able to work it out. (In case you were wondering, the Queen won that argument. The Queen always wins.)
Fun and Frolicking
All of the adventuring made the band of weary travelers quite thirsty. Fortunately for them, they settled into the bar area of Roberts Centre’s restaurant, and told tales of drinking at Ye Olde Oktoberfest, which is one of the Themed Weekends at the Ohio Renaissance Festival.
The Next Day
Little did the pirates know, the Queen would have them up early the next morning for an intense training session in one of the many conference rooms. While the Roberts Center can accommodate meetings from 5-5000, they only needed one of the smaller spaces for their early instructions. Some had a hard time staying awake, but it seemed that the coffee helped.
Next week, we’ll follow them on more Roberts Centre adventures!
